A Grey Nurse Shark Dive is one of the most ultimate marine animal experiences a diver can have. The gentle nature and fearsome looks make for an exhilarating dive. Sunreef offers several trips per week in the Grey Nurse Shark season between July and October.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
During the winter months of the year, Nurse Rock becomes a transitional home for the endangered Grey Nurse Shark. Often observed in groups circling the rock topography, this species of shark is not aggressive and provides fantastic opportunities for the underwater photographer and videographer.
Topography of the site features lovely boulders at the bottom of this site, which ranges from 14 to 22 metres deep, you may also choose to explore the small swim-throughs at this site.
Other marine life you may encounter include wobbegong sharks, large schools of surgeon fish, turtles, rays, cuttlefish, eels and tropical reef fish.
Each dive is planned to last for either 50 minutes or will end to have you on the surface with 50 bar (whichever one comes first).
Every dive is different depending on the conditions that day and time.
